    Ray Bradbury, the author of Fahrenheit 451, is an author, essayist, playwright, screenwriter and poet.  He was born in Illinois on August 22, 1920.  When Bradbury was 11 years old he started writing stories and poems on pieces of butcher paper.  When Bradbury got older his family moved to Los Angeles, CA and he attended Los Angeles High School.  In school Bradbury developed his writing.  After he got out of high school he went directly into the work force.  
    He started his career by selling papers during the day and writing articles at night. In 1943 when he focused purely on his writing.  Bradbury continued to write short stories and novels throughout the rest of his life.  
    Along with Fahrenheit 451some of Bradbury's well-known works were The Martian Chronicles, Dandelion Wine, and a  number of short stories.  Ray Bradbury has published more than 30 books and 600 short stories.Ray Bradbury has written novels and short stories that have been read by many generations. 
   Fahrenheit 451, his most famous work, was a creative, ingenious piece of literature that every person should at least once in their lifetime.
